After Dark
ILDANACH AFTER DARK: Black Label Reserved
As a Patron of Ildanach Studios, you are cordially invited to *Ildanach After Dark*. We have reserved the best of the best under our *Black Label* just for our Patrons, Gallery Owners and Friends.
In the wee hours when the work is done in the Studio for the day, the Artists at Ildanach begin to play. Sometimes these explorations end up on the *Wall of Shame* or even the dreaded Recycling Heap. Yet more often than not, a One-of-a-Kind work of expression, beauty and grace emerges.
Completely bound to the whim of our Awen, or *Creative Soul*, each piece is unique, guaranteed one-of-a-kind even if in a series and only offered to the Select Few. As with our main catalog Line, we use only the finest, Fair Trade and Recycled materials. Our Black Label Reserved artworks contain only the perfect, hand-selected gemstones full of character and beauty to match the work and come with the Day in the Life story—an invitation only, behind the scenes look at the evolution and exploration of the work through the Artist’s eyes, mind, hands and Awen.
Most of the pieces you will see here are meant to be the Artist’s *Proof of Concept *- they are finished artworks but will be remade to fit the wearer perfectly. Detailed measurements are taken and the work created to flow with the wearer’s form.
So relax with some good snacks and a beverage and take a stroll through the Ildanach After Dark, Black Label Reserved gallery—our works are meant to be experienced on many levels. We realize photos don’t do justice, so you’re always welcome to visit us at the Studios to see our *Metalsmithing as Art * in person or contact us for more or specific photos.
“Of those things which influence or inspire my work, the human form as the ultimate work of art is one. Another is that my work, my artistry is not complete until it is seen and therefore experienced upon the human form – accentuating rather than covering or enhancing. This context of synergy – artwork and human form, is the height and culmination of my artistic expression.”
– Curtis Rowland
